The work of the Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership is guided by a five-year management plan. It describes the special qualities of the area and why the AONB is important, sets out an agreed vision for its future, identifies the challenges and opportunities for the area, and how these will be tackled. This is supported by a strategic level delivery plan, which identifies the main methods for delivery.
The main points and key objectives of the Management Plan are also set out in a user-friendly summary booklet.
A Strategic Environmental Assessment and Sustainability Appraisal Environmental Report accompanied the draft Management Plan and a Screening Report on the impact of the Plan upon sites covered by the Habitats Regulations has also been prepared.
