Young Wood Open Days Neroche Forest

( Last Updated: 12-10-2012 )

We would like to invite you to Young Wood, in the Neroche Forest near Staple Fitzpaine, for our Open Days on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October.  Young Wood is just off the Badger Street road at Winter Well - see location at http://goo.gl/maps/QQ7oK.  There will be event signs on the road side at the entrance.

For the last two years we've been building momentum for this community-managed woodland within the public forest estate, and now we're keen to open up to locals, colleagues and friends to come and see what we're doing. We have exciting plans for a social enterprise based at Young Wood, and we're keen to get your views and your support, while giving you the chance to enjoy the woods.

On Friday 26th we'll be there from 2-6pm with our volunteer group, the fire will be lit, with tea and cake and hot chocolate on the go.  On Saturday 27th we'll be there from around 10-4pm, offering some rural craft taster activities, forest school information and a chance to have a walk in the autumn woods.

Drop in for as long as you can or for as little time as you have - we'll make sure you get a hot drink and maybe toast a marshmallow!  And please feel free to bring family and friends - children very welcome!

If you would like to pass on this invitation to colleagues please do so.  For more information please visit our website at www.youngwood.org.uk <http://www.youngwood.org.uk/> .
