Volunteer Leadership Training at Neroche

( Last Updated: 02-11-2012 )

As part of a move towards securing the future for the Neroche Conservation Volunteers group, a number of volunteers have offered to train as volunteer leaders, and lead conservation tasks. A days training with The Conservation volunteers (formerly British Trust of Conservation Volunteers) gave them a background in planning, safety awareneness and leadership skills. This was followed up by a day working together with the Force for Nature volunteer coordinator Jilly Ould, and Neroche Project Manager Gavin Saunders. Bringing the leaders group together to discuss how we are going to work towards working without paid staff present was a productive exercise for all involved. The volunteer leaders brought their own experience and expertise to the table, and together we see a great future for the group.
