A new programme of outdoor activities in the Blackdown Hills has been launched for spring and summer 2011.
The Countryside Events programme is packed with events and things to do in the area. Whether you prefer a relaxed picnic among the bluebells, or the challenge of learning how to survive in the woods, there is an event for everyone.
Night owls can join in with moth trapping and bat hunts, while early birds can experience the glory of a woodland dawn chorus.
People of all ages can try new skills, including wildflower photography, woodworking and orienteering. There will be fun farm activities for under fives, while older children will enjoy bushcraft and stargazing.
There are over 60 low cost or free events in the programme, which has been produced by The Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team and the Neroche Scheme.
