The Event: Singing Walk visiting Loughwood Meeting House and the Tuckers Arms

Dates: 24 Sep 16

Location: Meet at the Tuckers Arms, Dalwood EX13 7EG

10.30am - 1.00pm

Walk and sing in the landscape with community choir leader Claire Anstee. Walk from the Tuckers Arms in Dalwood to the historic Loughwood Meeting House, a thatched 17th century Baptist chapel owned by the National Trust and sing in this beautiful space.  Then return to Dalwood for more singing at the Tuckers Arms, after which you may wish to have lunch (please book this with the pub beforehand)  A gentle walk of no more than 3/4 miles with a break for singing halfway, country lanes and some off road walking.  There is some seating at the chapel, but most people will be standing.  This is mainly an event for adults, but children who are able to walk the distance and stand and sing for up to an hour are welcome.  There is no need to be able to read music or have sung before as we will sing rounds,or simple part songs, all in uplifting harmony.

Meet outside the Tuckers Arms Inn, parking at Dalwood Village Hall opposite.

Cost: Free, booking essential.
