The Event: Save Our Butterflies Weekend

Dates: 25 - 26 Jul 09

Location: Mount Fancy Farm and Quants

Open Days at Mount Fancy Farm and Quants Butterfly Reserves

Saturday 25 July 7pm 
MOTH TRAPPING AND BARBECUE
Mount Fancy Farm Reserve
Camping facilities available for anyone who would like to stay overnight. Bring your own tent and food to share - please ring in advance if possible.

Sunday 26 July
OPEN DAY -
All welcome! 
9am  MOTHS - analysis of last night's catch in moth traps
10.30am  Refreshments
11am  GUIDED WALK to see the wildflowers, butterflies and other wildlife at Mount Fancy Farm Reserve.
2pm GUIDED WALK to see the wildflowers, butterflies and other wildlife at Quants reserve.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be room for picnicking.

Parking: there will be supervised parking in the carpark at the eastern end of Staple Hill at OS map reference 247160 - park and follow the signs down to Mount Fancy Reserve. As there is very limited parking at the Quants reserve, we will share cars from the Staple Hill carpark to travel to Quants in time for a 2pm start for the afternoon event. If you are only coming for the afternoon walk, park at Quants reserve entrance at map ref ST 188180, on the lane to Chelmsine from Forches Corner (the Merry Harriers pub junction).

Stout footwear recommended.
