The Blackdown Hills AONB Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) has a new pot of money available to fund for local projects. The fund seeks to encourage individuals, community groups and businesses to work together and projects need to show that they have an environmental, social, or economic benefit. As 2010 is International Year of Biodiversity, we are particularly interested in projects which involve biodiversity.
The fund is divided to enable grants to be awarded to small or large scale projects - application forms for Small Grant Fund applications (for projects under £1000) can be submitted at any time and will be processed within 10 working days from the date of receipt. Larger project applications (for projects of £1000 - £10,000) will be appraised by a panel at meetings through the year. The deadlines for these application rounds are: 11th June, 6th August and 24th September.
