New Countryside Events programme launched for autumn and winter

( Last Updated: 06-09-2011 )

The new edition of the popular Blackdown Hills Countryside Events programme is now available, packed with activities, walks and workshops.

Courses on offer include map reading, wood carving, nature photography and hedge laying. There will be a mushroom hunt with delicious mushroom appetisers, and a rare chance to visit historic Loughwood Meeting House with an expert guide.

As Christmas approaches, there will be opportunities to learn how to make rustic decorations, and sing carols under the stars.

Younger explorers can try wildlife camps, bird box making and even a trip back in time with a special Iron Age experience at Dumpdon Hill.
