New AONB Spring – Summer 2010 Countryside Events

( Last Updated: 16-03-2010 )

Spring/Summer Events 2010The Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is delighted to present its latest programme of events.  The Countryside Events programme contains a wide variety of activities in the area.  This year is International Year of Biodiversity, so there are lots of events aimed at promoting an understanding of the rare and important species of plants, animals, insects and birds found in the Blackdown Hills.  There are opportunities to try our most popular events, such as Stargazing, Family Bushcraft and Storytelling, as well as a chance to try something new, like Wildlife Gardening, Den Building, or scavenging for Wild Food.  The programme is available online - check the Diary of Events link at the top left of the page to go to the listings, or click here to download an electronic copy of the leaflet.  Printed versions are available from local Tourist Information Centres, libraries, shops and pubs, or you can call us on 01823 680681, or email blackdownhillsaonb.org.uk to request a copy.
