Learn how to love your garden birds on Valentines Day

A special workshop in Mid Devon is offering families a fun way to celebrate both Valentines Day and the start of National Nest Box Week on 14th February.


'Love Your Birds' is a chance for families or friends to build a nest box together, and learn how to attract and feed birds in the garden. This friendly morning session at the Healthy Living Centre in Hemyock aims to inspire people of all ages to enjoy a lifetime of birds and birdsong.


The event has been organised by the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team to co-incide with National Nest Box Week, which is now in its 10th year.

Love Your Birds has limited places and booking is essential. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for under 18s. To book call the Blackdown Hills AONB team on 01823 680681 or email blackdownhills@devon.gov.uk
