Hours: 22.2 hours per week

Location: Hemyock, Blackdown Hills

Temporary until December 2013, subject to funding confirmation.
The Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs have a new source of grants for local business and communities. The £2.4m fund, called 'Making it Local', comes from the Leader approach (Axis 4) of the Rural Development Programme for England and runs until December 2013. We now need two dynamic individuals to help local projects to develop their ideas into successful applications. The three themes of our Local Development strategy focus on raising business pefromance, community connections and making the most of local resources. You will have experience of European funding, writing funding applications, rural development, knowledge of the area and working for a partnership. You will work as part of a small team that works closely with both the AONBs and a wider local parternership.

Making it Local Programme Assistant

The Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs have a new source of grants for local business and communities. The £2.4m fund called 'Making it Local' comes from the Leader approach (Axis 4) of the Rural Development Programme for England and runs from 2009-2013. This new post will provide essential support for the Programme team. You will deal with general funding enquiries, financial claims and keep the background systems running smoothly. Not just a back-office role, you will become a key source of information for our funding applicants. Experience of European funding, finance/book-keeping, publicity and working for a partnership body will be an advantage.
