The Event: Hembury Hillfort & Witness Moor Time Trail - FULLY BOOKED

Location: Hembury Fort and Witness Moor, Payhembury (ST118030)

10am - 12:30pm  SORRY, THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED

Guided walk around Hembury hillfort and Witness Moor. The walk will take in the impressive ramparts of the Iron Age hillfort and cover its earlier use in the Stone Age and re-occupation during the Roman invasion of the 1st Century AD.

We will also visit the 18th/19th century whetstone mines on Witness Moor. Meet at the Witness Moor car park. Take the A373 between Honiton and Cullompton. 700 metres north from Hembury Fort Cross, on the lane signposted to Dunkeswell.

The walk will be on rough/uneven tracks, so please wear appropriate walking footwear and bring waterproofs in case of rain.
