The AONB has commissioned a special report into the potential for producing renewable energy in the Blackdown Hills which will be launched at the conference.

The programme will also feature speakers from three local organisations which have recently fitted a variety of green energy installations.

There will also be expert presentations on the particular opportunities and restraints created by the landscape of the Blackdown Hills, and the pros and cons of different technologies.

It is hoped that the conference will stimulate plenty of discussion and ideas, and will be the first step towards a co-ordinated approach to renewable energy within the AONB.

‘Green energy for a living landscape' takes place on September 11 2010 at Stockland Village Hall near Honiton.

To book your place, please complete and return the booking form. The deadline for bookings is Tuesday 24 August.
