A new series of cycling routes in the Blackdown Hills will be launched with a fun cycling event in Wellington next Sunday.
Vintage bicycle enthusiasts Taunton Tweeds will christen the new routes, resplendent in period cycling gear. They will be joined by Wellington mayor and Somerset county councillor Andrew Govier, mayoress Jacqui Govier, and deputy mayor Vivienne Stock-Williams.
They will be riding part of the Wellington - Buckland Wood - Hemyock circuit, one of the series which was devised by the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) team.
Copies of the route, including a special shorter version, will be available on the day to anyone who wants to try it out.
All are welcome to the event, which takes place on Sunday 5 September, 2 - 3pm, outside the Co-op in Fore St.
The whole series will be ready shortly to download from the AONB website at www.blackdownhillsaonb.org.uk/Routes.
Ends.
