Community

The beauty of these hills has been shaped by the people who live and work here. Our villages and hamlets are vital communities which the AONB Partnership is committed to supporting.

A viable local economy is essential for the future of the Blackdown Hills, so AONB grant funding backs local enterprise and new ideas. We work with farmers, producers and craftspeople to help businesses care for the land and keep traditional skills alive.

We also run a lively programme of local events featuring community activities throughout the year. To find out more, take a look at our events diary, or download a copy of the latest Countryside Events leaflet.
