The whole family can get in the Christmas spirit by singing carols under the night sky at a special free event in the Blackdown Hills next week.
The outdoor sing-song will take place around a bonfire at Quarts Moor near Hemyock at 7pm on Friday 16 December. The voices of the Blackdown Community Choir will lead everyone through all the festive favourites, as well as performing some special Christmas music. Smeatharpe WI will also be there, selling delicious mince pies and hot drinks.
Everyone is invited to wrap up warm and bring lanterns and torches for a magical evening. Parking is at Wallaces Farm, directly opposite Quarts Moor.
There is a short walk through the woods to the bonfire site from the car park. The AONB's information officer Katherine Morgan said:
"We'd like to welcome everyone to join us and experience the fun of being in the woods after dark. There's nothing like music outdoors, and it promises to be a really special start to Christmas."
