The Event: Blackdown splint basket course

Dates: 31 Oct 10

Location: Buckland St Mary village hall


This local version of the traditional splint
basket was used on farms for carrying potatoes, turnips
etc. The sturdy construction gives it many uses around the
garden and home. Using goat willow from the Blackdowns
and some green woodworking techniques, make your own
basket to take home. Materials and tools provided.

10am - 5pm
