The Autumn/Winter 2010/11 edition of the Blackdown Hills Countryside Events programme is out now.
The programme features a host of walks, workshops and activities in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
Events include stargazing, apple tasting, hedgerow crafts, carol singing and orienteering. There are activities designed to appeal to all ages. Children can learn to build a nest box, or enjoy magical outdoor stories, while adults may enjoy delving into Iron Age history, or learning a new skill such as wood carving.
The programme has been put together by the Blackdown Hills AONB team. It includes events organised by a range of local organisations, including the Neroche scheme.
The AONB's information officer, Katherine Morgan, said:
"The Blackdowns are beautiful throughout the autumn and winter. All of the events in this programme give people an opportunity to look at the countryside in new ways, so I'd encourage anyone to wrap up warm, come along and be inspired by the natural world."
