The Event: Adder survey training

Dates: 26 Mar 17

Location: Hemyock Parish Hall Hemyock, Devon EX15 3QW

Join the Reptile and Amphibian Group for Somerset and the Blackdown Hills Natural Futures team to learn about Britain’s only venomous snake. Learn how to identify habitats where adders might be found and get tips on how to spot these reptiles. After training in the morning we will head over to a nearby site to search for adders.

If you wish, after the training day, you can help survey sites across the AONB until the end of May to help with annual monitoring and recording of adder populations.

Bring a picnic lunch, sturdy boots and wet weather clothing.
